Our all-employee Owner’s Summit at the end of January 2024 exceeded even our very lofty expectations. With our ELEVATE theme, we gave our employee owners the opportunity to connect, learn and have fun.
A stellar lineup of keynote speakers and breakout session leaders launched a new level of discourse and discovery, giving our team space to consider their own skills, careers and relationships, and how all of that fits into the future of our enterprise.
Our keynote speakers touched on so many areas – among them, public policy and politics, achieving peak performance, making a difference in a community, authentic self-awareness and leadership, and owning our actions and careers. The takeaways were bountiful. It was wonderful having them join us, and we owe them our gratitude for their time, insight and friendship.
Our breakout session leaders provided technical expertise and focus that was invaluable in helping us stay current, aware and engaged. We know growth comes through learning and our session leaders came through.
For some of our employees, leading a breakout session was their first public speaking experience. It takes courage to step out of your comfort zone and speak in front of your peers, so we appreciate their willingness to ELEVATE for everyone’s benefit.
As an employee-owned enterprise that is growing geographically, we strive to provide channels to connect in person. Videoconferencing is useful and often efficient, but it doesn’t replace the experience of being together, especially for our newest team members. The Summit gave us that opportunity with socials, meals, breaks, and after-hours gatherings to build and reinforce our culture and camaraderie. We genuinely like each other, and it shows whenever we’re together.
The ELEVATE Owner’s Summit was the perfect way to spend a couple of winter days in Fargo (with record-setting warm weather!), and I’m grateful for the time with our incredible team as we explored ways to ELEVATE our individual and team performance.
